IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer

I recently stumbled across IT Cosmetics thanks to Tati from Glam Life Guru on YouTube. She has raved about several of their products especially the concealer called Bye Bye Under Eye.  I struggle with dark circles due to the fact that I have allergies and also have a small child that keeps me exhausted most of the time so when I heard about this concealer I had to try it out.

Bye Bye Under Eye is a full coverage, highly pigmented concealer utilizing truly innovative technology and ingredients. This concealer comes in 4 shades: Light, Neutral Medium, Tan, and Deep. The color Natural Medium is supposed to suit almost 70% of the people that use concealer so that is the shade I chose because the Light looked super duper light.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the quality of this concealer and the results that it gives.
It has a creamy consistency that is thick almost gooey to the touch initially but once it is smoothed out it blends perfectly. Believe me when I say….a little goes a long way. This concealer not only gives good coverage (its super pigmented), but it’s also moisturizing, not cakey, and is pretty long-wearing. This concealer does a great job of not settling into any lines while keeping my under-eye area smooth-looking and brighten. I have been setting the concealer with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder and it makes the concealer look even better!

Bye Bye Under Eyes concealer is available on itcosmetics.com for $24.00 or at QVC.com.

August 2013 Stitch Fix #3

It’s time for my Stitch Fix review for the month of August! The box arrived yesterday and once again I was super pumped about its arrival! I was hoping that I would receive some summer to fall transitional pieces…..

So here is what showed up:

  • Ingrid Stripe Tank Dress $68 by Angie
I requested this item after seeing it on some other blogs in navy/white. The one I received was brown and black stripe and I love it! Of course I can wear it now, but I instantly pictured it with a jean jacket or a black cardi and flats for fall.  The style card actually shows it with a jean jacket so perfect!  It also looks super cute dressed up with heals. Totally keeping it!  I am actually wearing it as I write this post.

  • Beaded Strands & Dangler Necklace by 41 Hawthorn $32
Cute necklace but I definitely don’t need anymore. The stones are a pretty turquoise color which I love but don’t need….going back.

  • Brooke Dot Print Tab Sleeve Blouse by Ellison $38
I wasn’t quite sure about this top, its silky which I am not a big fan of. Also, it looked super blousy held up but after trying it on, this would be a great piece to wear with skinnies or leggings.  It covers my derrière which I like to too when I wear tighter pants…so this was another winner of this fix.  Plus the price was pretty good.

  • Marci Square Print Tab-Sleeve Blouse by Collective Concepts $68
Now this top I disliked from the minute I saw it.  I don’t care for the color combo or the look of this top.  On it was quite shapeless and blah….it’s going back.

  • Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan by Chris & Carol $48
I really love this cardigan but it is totally not the right color for going into fall. It fits beautifully and flows in the front.  I would have definitely kept this had it been another more fall color or basic black. Sad, but its going back.

Overall this was a pretty decent fix.  I was really happy with the dress and can see me wearing the top to work or out to a nice dinner.  I still think Stitch Fix is great since you get to try on the clothes at home, where you can really try it on and coordinate with items you already have.  I have already scheduled my next fix, so until next time…..bye bye! And remember, if you want to get your FIX on, Click here (it’s my referral code!) to sign up to be one the wait-list right away!  It only took me a few days to be added to this awesome service. Check it out!!

NARS Eyeshadow Palette Ride Up To the Moon

NARS has recently released the Fall 2013 Collection but what really excited me was the Fall gifting sets that were released with the Fall collection. Two eye-shadow palettes were released and I chose the warmer of the two; Ride Up To The Moon ($45.00).  The eyeshadows in these palettes include shades from NARS regular line of single and duo eyeshadows plus one LE shade but, of course, in much smaller sizes.

“A sophisticated six-shadow palette of celestial smoky hues to create a high-fashion haze or otherworldly effects.”

NARS Ride Up to The Moon has warmer colors in it; a gold, bronze, browns, a deep blackened green and a blackish brown. It is definitely the more versatile of the two palettes in that the shades can be use for day as well having stronger shades for night.   It is a great palette that would be great to travel with for touch ups or vacation time; this one palette could easily be all you'd need for days.

Top Row: Argentina (LE), Isolde (II), Night Porter (III)
Bottom Row: Biarritz (I), Fez (II), Cordura (III)

Argentina - Metallic gold
Isolde - Frosted ginger
Night Porter - Black with green pearl

Chanel Les Beiges De Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Powder

“With an effortless touch, this innovative, versatile powder makeup enhances, brightens or bronzes the complexion for a custom glow. On its own, it heightens skin’s natural beauty; over foundation, provides a sheer, luminous finish. Advanced technology protects against skin-dulling environmental... More stressors, while White Rose and Cotton Flower offer absolute comfort for even the most sensitive complexions. In seven no-fail shades; each, with its own sculpted half-moon brush.”

Chanel has released a new product this month, Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour. Retailing for $57.50, this powder is Chanel’s answer to an illuminating powder, similar to NARS Light Reflecting Powder or Hourglass Ambient Light Powder.  The powder comes in a gorgeous black case with a beige top and Chanel logo imprinted on it. The compact is quite large and it's equipped with a full-size mirror. This powder comes in seven shades ranging from No.10 to No.70 with undertones that are designed to complement several different skin tones. I believe the intentional use of this product is to choose a shade or two darker than your skin tone so that the powder will give a very natural, fairly neutral, even tan; as if it were your own skin. It is suppose top look as if you have a gradual, healthy tan.  Since I ordered mine online I decided to go with No. 20 which actually matches my skin tone quite well; so I think if I got shade No.30 it would give me this natural tan look.  I prefer to apply this as a setting powder since it is sheer and also use it as a touch up powder throughout the day.  It is not cakey whatsoever and adds a subtle radiance that gives a lovely glow to the skin. The powder is creamy, soft, super finely milled and subtly fragranced (I can’t quite pin point the smell, definitely floral).  Overall a stand out product and I will be using all the time!
