Clinique Curviest Caramel Chubby Stick Intense

Clinique recently released a new formula of their ever so popular Chubby Sticks called Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm ($16), which is currently available in 8 shades.  The packaging is the same has the original Chubby Sticks (a lip crayon) but these have a new fuller coverage formula that gives a more intense colour.  The Clinique Chubby Stick Intense range is infused with Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter and Jojoba Seed Oil to moisturize whilst antioxidants protect your lips from environmental damage.  Most of the eight shades are quite bright, darker colors (ranging from a bright red to a deep grape) with only one nude color……which is the one I got, surprise, surprise!
Curviest Caramel is medium pinky nude that works as a perfect everyday neutral, which I am all about.  The formula is super creamy and really pigmented (hence the intense in the name =)).  Application is super easy; the balm-like product glides on lips seamlessly.  Overall, these are a great staple to add to your makeup arsenal, especially if you are already a fan of the original Chubby Sticks.  Hopefully they will introduce more colors in the future…see you next time!

MAC Hey, Sailor Suntints

I only picked up a few items from the newly released Summer collection from MAC Cosmetics entitled Hey, Sailor. I wasn’t super impressed with this collection but I did want to get a few things, mainly because the packaging is too cute! I picked up two of the three Limited Edition Suntints Liquid Lip Balm ($16) that was released with this collection, Abalone and Au Rose.

Abalone in the tube is a see-through hot pink with no shimmer. It has cool undertones and just barely gives my already pigmented lips a slight tint. Au Rose is a medium pink with subtle gold shimmer. It is much more pigmented that Abalone but still pretty sheer. I prefer this shade or Abalone just because it adds a touch more color to the lips and brightens them up a bit more.
Left: Abalone Right: Au Rose
This formula does add a lot of shine to the lips and I didn’t find the balm to be overly sticky. I think that it moisturizes pretty well and lasts a decent amount of time on the lips. They do contain an SPF 20 which is nice to have in a balm for the summer. Overall this is a nice product to take to the pool or beach to protect and hydrate your lips and get a touch of color.

MAC Calm Mode Tinted Lip Conditioner

I wasn’t super impressed with most of the products in MAC’s recently released Cham-Pale collection. I own 3 of the 4 shadows in the quad and the lipsticks, lipgelees and paint pots were all a bit too shimmery and sparkley for my taste. I did end up buying a few products, one being the Tinted Lip Conditioner in Calm Mode.

I love MAC tinted lip conditioners! I have quite a few limited edition shades that I love and use all the time. My lips feel super soft when I use this product and the colors are never too harsh or overly pigmented. The lip conditioners come with a SPF of 15 and a soft vanilla scent. Calm Mode also contains lavender to give a soothing aroma. I don’t think that I can really detect the lavender too much but there is a hint of a minty scent and taste which I really like.  Also, I do find the balm soothing and calming overall. The color of this balm is a soft pinky beige that suits my natural lip color to a tee. Overall I am glad to add this tinted lip conditioner shade to my collection and have already been using it a ton!
