NARS Eyeshadow Palette Ride Up To the Moon

NARS has recently released the Fall 2013 Collection but what really excited me was the Fall gifting sets that were released with the Fall collection. Two eye-shadow palettes were released and I chose the warmer of the two; Ride Up To The Moon ($45.00).  The eyeshadows in these palettes include shades from NARS regular line of single and duo eyeshadows plus one LE shade but, of course, in much smaller sizes.

“A sophisticated six-shadow palette of celestial smoky hues to create a high-fashion haze or otherworldly effects.”

NARS Ride Up to The Moon has warmer colors in it; a gold, bronze, browns, a deep blackened green and a blackish brown. It is definitely the more versatile of the two palettes in that the shades can be use for day as well having stronger shades for night.   It is a great palette that would be great to travel with for touch ups or vacation time; this one palette could easily be all you'd need for days.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Secret

Chanel has already released their Fall 2013 collection entitled Superstition. It’s slowly trickling into stores; my Macy’s only had a few of the products in.  I was checking out what they had and was immediately drawn to the new Rouge Coco Shines ($34).  I really can’t get enough of the Rouge Coco formula; it’s my absolute favorite.  I love everything about it; the texture, the color selection, the moisturizing formula and the shine. Also, I love the light rosy scent they have; reminds me of my grandmother’s rose garden.
Secret is a light baby pink with a touch shimmer that gives you a perfect pink pout.  It is an excellent shade to keep on you for touch ups through out the day, a great “my lips but better” shade.  Secret is very similar to Empreinte Rouge Coco Shine but a bit pinker and more opaque.  Empreiente was my favorite Rouge Coco Shine shades but Secret maybe my new fav.  Here is a look at my Rouge Coco Shine collection:
Left to right: Empriente, Secret, Evasion, Boy, Aventure, Liberte

As you can tell, most are in the neutral pink family with the exception of Liberte and look very similiar swatched. I promise they look different on the lips. I love them all but Secret is currently at the top of the list!

Le Blush Crème de Chanel in Inspiration

Chanel has released a range of cream blush in their Fall 2013 Superstition Collection called Le Blush Crème de Chanel.  It comes in 6 shades at $38 a pop.
Chanel Says:

“An innovative powder-cream formula offers an enticing new way to blush with sheer yet vibrant pigments for instant luminosity. The silky texture offers a long-wear satin finish—soft and comfortable for every skin type.”
I choose the lightest shade of the range, Inspiration. It's is a pretty soft pink, and it looks great on my light skin.  This color seems to brighten the face with just the right amount of color.  I found it to be highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. Le Blush Crème has a cream to powder texture that doesn’t have any shimmer to it. It found that this product was super easy to blend into the skin and feels soft to the touch.  I have been applying with my Real Techniques Stippling brush and it goes on perfectly.  I hope Chanel decides to keep this product around because it truly is one of the best cream blushes I have tried. Others can be tacky or sticky and hard to blend. That is not the case here at all. Go check them out at your local Chanel counter.
