Rouge Bunny Rouge Sweet Excesses Glassy Gloss in Rhubarb Custard

Rouge Bunny Rouge has released five gorgeous pinkish shades of Glassy Gloss with the Mistral Look for Summer 2012. I haven’t had a chance to try the Glassy Gloss formula, so I thought what better time than now. Out of the five shades, which all look beautiful, I chose Rhubarb Custard. The RBR site describes these shades as “milky nude rosewood – an irreplaceable my-lips-but-better colour.” It’s definitely a my lips but better color, a warm neutral pink. The new shades have “a new ultra glossy formula that combines a non-sticky finish with intense moisturizing properties which have an immediate effect on dry skin. Rose Seed Extract smoothes away fine lines, rejuvenates and regains lost natural colour and skin tone while Vitamin E works as an anti-oxidant.”
I did find the Glassy Gloss formula to be moisturizing and non-sticky. I have super dry lips that peel and crack all the time, so I constantly have something on my lips.  Even after the color wore off, my lips still felt pretty hydrated and soft.  The texture is rather thick and applies quite smoothly and evenly. This gloss has descent staying power but not the greatest; I found I have to apply a couple times through out the day.  Another thing that I really like is the scent of this product, it reminds my of sweet tarts or some candy, I can’t quite decide.  Anyway, overall I really like the RBR Glassy Gloss formula and may have to check out more shades in the future.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Gleaming Temptations Lip Gloss

Included in my Beautyhabit order was a gift with purchase.  They offered Gleaming Temptations Lip Gloss in Love Tricks as a gift with the purchase of two or more Rouge Bunny Rouge items.  This was an awesome GOP!! Rouge Bunny Rouge describes Love Tricks as "a sheer, pale lilac mauve with a fine, milky white opalescence,” which is a pretty accurate description.   The color looked a bit scary in the tube to me, but when applied it’s really sheer and gives lips a touch of color.
Love Tricks is a cool light fuchsia pink which I didn’t think would look good with my coloring but surprisingly it looks amazing. The sheer opalescent pink applied to my lips actually looks quite natural and gives a hint of a shiny pink flush.  The texture of this gloss is moderately thick but not sticky at all. It glides on lips effortlessly and leaves them moisturized and soft.  The Gleaming Temptation glosses have the same citrus scent that the lipsticks have, which is very subtle. Overall I like this formula of lipgloss, its has some lasting power which is good and once the gloss has worn off my lips they still feel soft and supple.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Succulence Of Dew Sheer Lipstick

Another product that I picked up in my Rouge Bunny Rouge haul is the The Succulence of Dew Sheer Lipstick ($26) in Fluttering Sighs.  Fluttering Sighs is describes as a sheer, shiny tea rose warmed with gold shimmer but to me its warmer, more peachy and not as pink as you would think a rose would be.  The color glides on in a hydrating dew finish formula infused with Manoi butter, Hop Extract and Vitamin E.
The Succulence of Dew sheer lipstick formula is really lovely and feels quite moisturizing when applied. The formula is rather pigmented for a sheer lip product and has a glossy finish with a touch of golden sparkle. I enjoy the light citrusy scent because its not overwhelming and fades after a while. A perfect everyday color and a welcomed new edition to my handbag!!  I am very pleased with all my RBR picks so far, definitely worth checking out.

Rouge Bunny Rouge When Birds are Singing Long-lasting Duo Eye Shadow

I previously purchased single eyeshadows from RBR in Bejeweled Skylark and Abyssinian Catbird. I have enjoyed using those colors and love the staying power and pigmentation they have.  I decided this time around to try out one of the long lasting Duo Eye Shadows in A Major – fis Minor.  RBR description of their shadows is “Discover a new powder eye shadow with an astonishing lightweight, creamy touch and unprecedented adherence. This formula creates pure dynamic iridescence while it maintains second skin effect. It has extended 8-hour wear that will stay perfect and look freshly applied all day. Orange-derived Flavonoid improves blood microcirculation, enhances luminosity and serves as free radicals scavenger.”
This duo is describes as “Palest golden wheat, paired with a delicately frosted muted mauve-brown with a subtle gold accent” This is an excellent description of these shades.  They are shimmery, but the shimmer is more of a sheen, not frosty what so ever. The texture is just as buttery soft and smooth as the single eyeshadows, but I find this duo a little less pigmented, which was kind of a bummer. The pale golden beige shade is hard to see on my lids but it does give a beautiful soft glow.  Overall, a great pairing for an everyday neutral eye and is perfect for creating a casual evening look, smoked out with a little black eyeliner.

Rouge Bunny Rouge for Love of Roses Original Skin Blush

I was super pumped when I heard that Rouge Bunny Rouge was available for purchase at the US site Beautyhabit. Previously this Russian/London based brand was only available for purchase via the UK site Zuneta. As you may know, the exchange rate is quite high, so the products were a little pricier to purchase from the UK. So I am very pleased to purchase this brand in the US. Rouge Bunny Rouge is a very whimsical Victorian-style brand that describes their products with fairytale like names. So far I have loved all the previous RBR products that I have purchased, so I am excited to try out some new ones.
The first product I am going to review is For Love of Roses Original Skin Blush in the shade Gracilis. The Rouge Bunny Rouge site says “Original Skin Blush blends with a sheer, melting touch for a naturally luminous silky glow. A medley of active ingredients, including Uhaloa from Hawaii, (also known as Velvet-leaf) and modern technologies impart a long term brightening effect. Indian Gooseberry Extract stands guard against free radicals. Sheer pearls amplify the creamy soft touch and ensure a limpid glow. Innovative powders entwine with your skin to preserve perfection all day long. Result is 'your skin but better' effect; you’ll wonder how you blushed before.”

The color Gracilis is described on the site as a “Medium rose with a hint of mauve, for a natural glow - Best suited to pale, cool complexions.” That description is pretty spot on. It’s a beautiful, dusty pink that gives cheeks a natural flush. The quality is of this product is amazing. It’s smooth and soft in texture and the color holds up great throughout the day. It’s also easy to build up the color without looking overdone. Overall, love it!
I also received two RBR product samples: Metamorphoses Mattifying Primer & As If It Were Summer Still Bronzing Glow Liquid. It’s always a fun surprise when you get samples of products you actually want to try, other than ones you don’t care for (perfume samples!!). Excited to try both of these. Thanks Beautyhabit!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Lip Products

Along with my Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadows I picked up two of the Russian brands lip products, Color Burst Lipstick and Gleaming Temptations lipgloss. Both lip products contain moisturizing ingredients such as Vitamin E but the lipstick contains such ingredients as Orchid Flower extract, Meadow foam, Manoi Butter to hydrate and the lipgloss contains Sesame, Neem and Boswellia Oils; Lotus Flower Extract, Gingko Biloba, Green Tea to hydrate, nourish and regenerate. After trying both products I definitely agree that they moisturize and hydrate very well. Let’s talk about the colors that I choose.
The color I decided to purchase in the Color Burst lipstick is The Plot Thickens. This shade is a beautiful rosy nude beige with a satin finish. It has a slight figgy scent which I really like. When applied it has decent pigmentation, not too sheer, not too opaque, very middle of the road. This product applies easy and smooth and feels soft on the lips. It’s definitely hydrating yet lightweight. Overall a great lipstick that is easy to throw on at anytime.
I picked up the shade Birthday Suit in the RBR Gleaming Temptations lipgloss. Birthday Suit is a honey, peachy beige with a soft shimmer. This is a gorgeous color! On its own Birthday Suit is very sheer but when applied over a lipstick, especially The Plot Thickens, it adds a beautiful nude sheen. This product also has a fig scent to it and is non-sticky and moisturizing.
Overall I am super happy with all the RBR products that I purchased and can’t wait to get some more. But what they really need to do is bring this brand to the US, and fast!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Long Lasting Eyeshadows

Rouge Bunny Rouge is a whimsical Russian beauty brand that has been buzzing around the beauty blog world for the past year or so. I have read so many amazing reviews of their products I finally broke down and purchased some of their products. First off, RBR is only sold on zuneta.com, which is a British based beauty web store. That means that the products sold there are in British pounds, so when converted to US dollars the products can be a little pricey. But I found that they are totally worth it!
The first product I will be talking about is RBR’s Long lasting eyeshadows. I picked up two of the most talked about shades, Abyssinian Catbird and Bejewelled Skylark. Both shadows are highly pigmented, super smooth and really long lasting. Also both colors are extremely unique; I don’t have or have seen any colors like them. Both shades are on the warm/deep side but translate beautifully on the eyes.
Abyssinian Catbird
Abyssinian Catbird is a very warm deep gold metallic. It’s an absolutely stunning color! I have never seen anything like it. This is the perfect color for a warm bronzy summer smoky eye. I can’t wait to be tan so I can really rock this color.
Bejewelled Skylark
Bejewelled Skylark is a rich coppery brown with shimmer. Also very highly pigmented, don’t need to pick much up on your brush. This will also be a great color for the summer. I have been using as a liner currently and love the way it looks.

Overall I am super excited about my first Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadow purchase and see myself purchasing some of the lighter shimmery colors in the future. You can check out the whole RBR line at http://www.rougebunnyrouge.com/ and purchase here at Zuneta.
